Icon6 No start until after messing with clutch pedal?

this morning I got into my 92 eg hatch with a z6 I/H/E and depressed the clutch and turned the key.. nothing but a simple click from the starter.. I'm thinking the solenoid might just be taking a **** but I'm not sure.

yeah the battery's fine it's just once every time I try to start it. I was too lazy to stand in the rain and tap the starter I really just wanted a second opinion because I'm still not used to my eg. Thanks much bro.

What do you mean by "until after messing with clutch pedal"? There's a neutral safety switch underneath the clutch pedal that stops the car from starting unless the clutch pedal is depressed.
