Im trying to upgrade my exhaust froma 2.5 to 3". Looking for something thats not to loud.

Im going to have a local muffler shop fab me a new DP but im having a hard time finding an exhaust that doesnt sound like a fart can... i try to discourage negative attention

if there isnt a quiet one do you think adding a resonator would help tone it down a bit?

btw its a 98 sedan with a b16a2 swap

 

out of curiosity why are you going to 3"? if you're all motor 2.5" is more then good enough.

but to answer your question yes a resonator would help. i doubt you'll find anything quiet at 3" for N/A. turbo is probably the only way 3" would be somewhat quiet.
