d16z6 idle is low
ok when i start up my car it idle high and then when it warms up the idle drop excatly half way below 1 for couple of second and then its drops more just a lil bit above the first line on the rpms.. the car feels like its gonna stall even do its juts parked there.... i changed the fuel filter, put oem spark plugs, put lucas fuel injector cleaner, cleaned the iacv also tryed to adjust the screw on the tb according to the haynes manual and still nothing ...oh by the way my check engine is on could dat be part of the problem.. any help plz
try running the vtec wiring first..plug in the proper ecu. cuz the cel light is most likely on cuz of the vtec..that can add to your idle problem..as well as timing and a few other things..if the first steps dont help you may have bad rings.
i have a d16z6 and ive tried to time it and it wnt start.. i brought it to tdc and marked the crank by the single line above the other 3 on the pulley.. can someone plz help to properly time my car properly by step one.. thanx alot guys and girls

I have the same idling problem, in for the solution! Check your vacuum lines, it probably has a leak. It's probably that, or a bad gasket on your intake manifold or exhaust manifold. I just ordered all my gaskets to replace them. I also cleaned my idler air control valve. Gotta check my vacuum lines when I get some time off.
so i checked my cel .. and it gave me (21 VTEC spool solenoid valve) so im assuming dat means dat the vtec it not wired up.. so im wondering how do i wire up the vtec directly to the ecu ..cuz i dont wanna have to get a vtec harness lol
