I've heard that to install a single-din CD player in the lower pocket by the cupholder you need to have one from a 96-98 civic.

Any folks got pictures?

 

its true. The one that has the useless flip-up cupholders. I have one from a EM1 in my 98 civic so its that one-piece kind.

I don't know if you can see it but the 'pocket' part of it comes off and there's the slot for the single-din cd player

 

passwordjdm sells the one with the pop out cup holders that will do it
but the oem 96-98 one works and is usually cheaper then the overseas counterpart. try to find out with the flip up clip not broken thuogh or else you wouldn't be able to see your radio and if you put a drink in there the top hits the buttons.

 

The flip up clip on those things break all the time though. Thats why I went with the sturdier 99-00 cup holder

 

So, you can use the front (pocket) from the earlier model and the cupholder from the 99-00?

 

can't install a deck on 99-00 cup holder console.
i wanna upgrade mine to the acura 1.6el console but they so hard to come by around here.
