'91 LX sedan not turning over, help me
I recently swapped out the head on my ’91 Lx sedan. Its DPFI and auto. I took the head to get hot tanked and decked. I changed the head gasket because it kept overheating like crazy. New Radiator, hoses, fan switch, & coolant. I finally got everything put together and when I went to turn it over…….no go. It seems as if it’s getting no spark.
I made sure everything was on TDC before I took the head off.Would the timming have anything to do with it not starting?
All my grounds are good, gas is good, what else should I check for?
Have you guys had any experiences like this before? Any information given to me would be sweet. I want to get this thing running already .

the starter circuit on hondas is pretty f-ing simple. it's either a fuse, your ignition switch, or your wires running to your starter from the battery and fuse box.
now a crank but no start... that's a different story

i picked up a dizzy to see if that might be the problem. if no start then thats 1 less thing to take into consideration
Like I told you Mike, is it not CRANKING or it CRANKS and doesn't TURN ON, two different things, I'm still confused as I was yesterday when you txt'd me.
same problem...sounds like a timing issue...!!!

i'm going to make sure everything is on TDC and tighten up the tensioner.
Turning over and cranking are the same thing.
Scenario 1: turn the key, nothing happens (engine not cranking or turning over) = engine doesn't start.
Scenario 2: turn the key, engine cranks (turns over) = engine doesn't start.
Sounds like you're talking about #2 if you're worried about your timing, line everything up to TDC and make sure it's dead on. Pull one of the spark plugs out and see if you're getting spark too. If everything lines up, you're getting spark, the car is dropping fuel into the cylinders (wet spark plugs) then either your compression is bad, or your ignition timing is way out.
