Temperature gauge not working

Default Temperature gauge not working

on my 2002 rsx my temp gauge is not going up. it just stays at the C, is this normal?

Do you have a CEL? I'm thinking it is either the ECT sensor or possibly wiring from said sensor to the ECU.

It could be the gauge itself as well but that isn't likely on an 02.

Thermostat may be stuck.

OP, let the car warm up and then squeeze your upper/lower radiator hoses. If either one is cool to the touch (can't remember if its the upper or lower ) then you have a stuck thermostat.

no cel...whats an ECT ?

ECT is Engine Coolant Temperature sensor. Basically the OE water temp sending unit.
