Default cheapest OEM SOHC F headgasket?

anybody know what the cheapest priced OEM F headgaket is? i know with the D series, the 96-00 d16y8 headgasket is basically identical to all others in shape, but its only 26 bucks...vs. about double that for the z6 one.

anything like that with SOHC Fs? i've only bought a few f22a1 headgaskets, an they were a bit expensive, but not that bad (60 or so i believe).

any input?

basically the dealer is where i get the head gaskets for this shop. we just dont trust any aftermarket parts for items like head gaskets and timing belts. on newer hondas with the blue coolant we also get that from the dealer but in response to your question, what ever they cost at the dealer is the cheapest place to get them. they might be "like" other models but maybe there is a different material in them or something. for some reason they have a different part number right? there is something different about them and i would recomend getting the correct head gasket from the dealer. about 60 bucks from the dealer if i recall correctly

i know the dealer is the best place to get the gasket, i ONLY go OEM ever on headgaskets. tried a cometic 6 years ago, didnt like it as much because it blew 2 weeks later (probably due to a warped head though, not the gaskets fault, IMO)

what i'm really wondering, though, is if there are price differences between DIFFERENT F series engines...like the f22a1/b2/f23/etc.

anybody know this? i might just have to annoy the dealer and make the parts guy figure it out. haha

You can check on TAS Auto real fast - they have parts for 90-02 Accords (which would be 99% of the F series motors you are referencing.

go ahead and annoy the dealer LOL thats his job anyway right? me myself and i are e-mail crazy. when i get people on the phone or in stores and they are unprofessional or give attitude over something like this, i e-mail the corporate web site and tell them i met whoever ( and yes i get names) and how i was treated. i've even gotten free stuff from the corporate like gift cards and such. but basically the parts guy at the dealers has a job to do and it includes giving us prices and availability on multiple parts if necessary. and if we dont know the vin number, but we know the engine family and all that engine info, or oem numbers, then he should be trained to know what we are asking for. and yes i voice my experiences to north american honda motor company. call the parts guy at the dealer LOL

f23 heagasket is $45 through majestic honda. cheapest one I saw on there. I dont know how well it matches up to the f22 though. I've never seen the two side by side.
