smokeing issue
ok i have a JDM D-15b in my 93 hatch and it has approx 80-85k on it.
it was in my friends coupe til about january and i put it in my hatch and ran fine..no smoke or anything. i dont really baby it but i dont murder it lol. a few weeks ago I noticed theat i was smoking in high rpms..lil after vtec kicks in round 5k. so i did an oil change with 5w30 synthetic as always at 3k miles. noticed that it lost about 3/4 of a quart in the first week. and when i start it there is a kinda sweet smell i cant really describe it and i kick out some black smoke when i give it gas..then it goes away after a min.
so..idk weather the headgasket or the rings r goin up. any thoughts??

Sweet smelling? Thats coolant my friend. Antifreeze contains ethylene glycol, which smells and tastes sweet, yet its toxic if you consume it. Thats why people sometimes leave it out in a bowl for stray dogs they want to kill. This is pretty common in the south, as stray dogs run rampant. Sounds like you've got a headgasket problem.
