Default Connection/connector

97 accord 4cly I am looking for what a blue wire from the ac compressor to a connector on the fan shroud controls. The last time I touched that wire the motor started to sudder and it blew an ac hose. It might be coincidental.

blue to red the reason I'm asking both wires seemed frayed going into the connector. I just wanter to know can I connect these wires directly to each other. And to find out what I might have done to cause the hose to blow?

looks like the blue wire is just for the radiator fan motor. its with a black wire on a two-wire connector and harness to connector 209

the red and blue wire appears to be for the AC thermostat. i wouldnt connect the blue wire and the red and blue wire together. can you repair the frayed wires?

the connection you made and blew the hose is probably from a shorted out wire that couldnt blow the fuse or relay because it was by-passed from you connecting the wire and runing power around the relay or fuse

the hose may have blown also because the expansion valve is stuck shut and the refrigerant cant circulate causing the compressor to just compress and compress till something blows

thanks Just to be clear this is a blue wire from the compressor to a connector that has a red wire connected to it, this is the original I didn't by pass anything just touched the wire to see if that was the wire that went to the ac fan motor, because the fan wasn't on when I turned on the ac.

the only all blue wire in the whole system i seen was for the fan. the compressor wasnt shown clearly but i didnt look at all the diagrams...i literally have diagrame for every connector on the car. theres a few hundred of them for that car alone. check out this next post real quick and see the wire from the radiator fan motor to C209. there are 2 C209s in the pic but one is for a black wire (ground)

This is not the blue/black wire for the fan motor I don't see it on either diagrams. I just went down and cleaned off the wire powder blue connected to a red wire connected to the lower portion of the fan shroud. Not the top connecton to the fan motor.

well i'm guessin you havent went to an AC shop for the hose to be replaced. your AC system should be evacuated and leak tested after the hose is replaced. no air can be in the system from you replacing the hose. but they would test your AC system after it is done. wish i could have been more help. i dont service ac systems so i just look over diagrams if i have questions but it sounds like someone has messed with the wires on your car. often all solid colors are what auto parts stores sell and people just use whatever they can to repair broken wires. this is just a guess on why your wire is solid blue there
