car shaking badly when moving
ok here is the question . I have a 94 sedan with an H22 . Lately i've been noticing my car starting to act wierd on the highway and especially on the turns ... it seemed to pull left a bit . Today as I took another turn at highway speeds it started to pull even worse ... I checked the pressure in my tires and i had 15less PSI on the drivers side back wheel . So I put more air to compensate and i left .
Once again as I was getting off the highway i gunned it went to 130 then started to break .
the car started shaking badly , basically just like when u are on very small wheel;s and u do a burout with a more powerfull engine and once again the steering wheel; was pulling hard to the left . I stoped , ythen went again , it continued to shake . I stopped for a while looked arround check my pressure , all tires seemed fine . I left again . Just as soon as i'd pass 10 kmph i'd feel kind of a slight beat form underneath the car kinda , and then as i would hit 25 or so my car would softly start to shake then intensify as the speed would increase . I would eventually reach 60 with my car feeling like it's going fast over rail road tracks that just don't end . the shaking would also continue if i reved the engine or droped the car in neutral and let it idle at cruising speed .
I eventually , later on had my friend check both my sides and see if any of my wheels are acting wierd but he said everything looked perfect ...
well ... if anybody got this far ... do you have any sugestions ?
thank you .
P.S. I'm on 14" wheels , motormaster tires , stock suspension and stock brakes ...

but when something would shake this bad , if it were the tires wouldn't it be visible on the road ?
couldn't u actually see the tires move wierd ?

Doubtful it's tires.
You've probably got one or more of the problems here:
1. Broken inner joint on an axle.
This will cause really horrible shaking upon ACCEREATION mostly. It should subside mostly when you let off the gas. Solution? Get under the car and grab each axle and wiggle it. If there's too much play or they feel wobbly, replace them accordingly. H22A swaps are notorious for breaking inner joints due to torque. Have a trusted well-reputed shop check it out if you're not sure.
2. Badly warped rotors.
You mentioned that when you slowed down the car shook really bad. This indicates warped rotors. Have them turned or replaced. Again, have a trusted well-reputed shop check it out if you're not sure.
3. Broken differential in the tranny.
This will be the shittiest of all. This will cause the car to torque steer really badly like you've mentioned, and it will make clunking noises and vibrate like hell when you're driving. This will do it all of the time though, not just on acceration. Once more have a trusted well-reputed shop check it out if you're not sure.
Regardless of the problem the LAST thing you need to be doing is 130+mph on the freeway! Looks to me like you said that you did 130mph to test it. With problems 1 and 3 this is a terrible idea. Hell even with problem number 2 it's bad because your braking distances are greatly increased that way.
Good luck, and try to decribe it a tad better and maybe I can help more. Does it vibrate only on acceleration? Only on braking? All the time?

thanx ...
I've lived under the metric sistem for my whole life so 130 ment 130 kmph
i would not be dooing 130 mph on these tires and if i would have , with that torque steer i would have been dead now
anywais .
It shoakes badly at all times . It depends on speed thogh . Starts off as a beat from arround 5 kmph , then it intesifies like i've said . By 60 kmph my car would be shaking up and down violently . there is no torque steeer at this speed . But the car shakes at all times not only when breaking or accelerating ... even when crusing in neutral ...

one more thing .... a few days ago i have noticed that the engine is not in perfectly straight ... u can't really tell just by throwing a look at it however if u look carefully it's slightly tilted ...
could this have caused this problem and broken something ?
I've used trhe HCP mounts so one of the mounting points had to be relocated ... what do u guys think ? thx

Sounds like really tweaked axles from a crooked motor, or a blown-out differential in the tranny.
If you have the money, just buy a Quaife LSD and be done with it. It's a gear-type LSd with a full lifetime warranty - you won't break it.

bad driver's side axle .
Got it done just now car runs well again .
It was all under waranty so it's kewl .
now question ... could have this died due to any problems with the engine , setup or could it have been a bad axle from the begining . It was a rebuilt integra axle ...

It could have just been a bad axle. I had a massive vibration in my old car which turned out to be the passenger side axle. I had it replaced. 9 months later my driver side axle started clicking, so I replaced that w/ an axle from AutoZone (lifetime warranty). About 6 months after that, the massive vibration came back, but this time it was that driver side axle. I yanked it out, took it to AutoZone, and got another one for free, no questions asked. Sometimes those rebuilt ones aren't perfect, but with a lifetime warranty, it's all good.

its more likely your inner joint axles, or tire balance is off, or tranny and diffs are slippin...IMO..its possible
What caused the axle to **** out?
Well your car is probably lowered to begin with. this stresses the axles more than you can imagine. Now add to that that you're using Integra axles for an H22A. now factor in human error for rebuilding the axles. Now add in that probably 1 in 10 rebuilt axles are **** to begin with.
See my point?
Axles suck. Get used to it.

i hit a pot hole at 70mph so hard that the windshield wipers went on..then i noticed that the steering wheel wasnt straight anymore..i experienced what ur going thru and all it need d was a realignment...good thing Sears has a 1yr warranty on their alignments and they redid the whole thing..but the above mention d things could very well be ur problem too
