Default Low idle and whistling...

Ok so I just searched alot but I'm still kinda confused here.

anyways, I got my timing belt\water pump changed recently, and now my engine idles really low (like 300rpm) and only at idle and when the car is warmed up it makes a high pitch squeaking noise, but when I give a bit of gas it goes away.

I'm thinking that my alternator belt is loose, since this only started right after I got the timing belt changed. My idle was fine before and there was no squeaking.

Also, how do you tighten the alt belt? Loosen the alternator and move it?

Thanks.
