Default mini me question

i have a 94 civic sedan with a sohc d15b7, now peeps are saying go with a mini me cause i can get power and keep it a daily without going over say....250 hp, cause all i want is about 200-220...

the list of parts i was told i would need are as follows....

a z6 head
v-tech valve cover
a p28 chipped
and i think he said a cx manifold
(this would put me well over 150 he said)

and the option of turbo and whatever for that would add whatever else.

then later on yesterday some guy said that i would need a conversion kit cause they dont make them for sohc only dohc and that the conversion kits dont exist anymore...is this true cause i checked it out and saw nothing about a conversion kit needed except for for the ecu....but it sounded like he meant for the head itself.

I believe you just have to make a few modifications to your block to accommodate the vtec head. Google "mini me swap civic" or something like that and check out some of the nice write ups floating around.

Your questions regarding the mini-me itself are covered and answered in the FAQ in detail. There is no conversion kit.

Well I can tell you that you don't wanna use a cx intake manifold it's like half the size of a z6

-Z6, Y8 head
-if you use the Z6 head you are going to need a Z6 distributor
-You don't need a "VTEC" valve cover just use the one that comes with the Z6 or Y8 it doesn't have to say VTEC on it
-P28 it doesn't need to be "chipped"
-Z6 or Y8 manifold would be best, stay away from CX manifold
-You'll be no where near 150 HP, probably with intake, header, and exhaust MAYBE in the 120HP range if you are lucky
-no conversion kit, just some extra wiring for VTEC and you need to remove the oil jet from your block

Make sure to get the vtec solenoid with the new head. Going to need to wire it up.
