Swapped out my B18a1 for a B18B. Problems...........
My 89 hatch came with a b18a1 in it. im swapping in a fresh built for turbo b18B. I've never swapped a motor before and just went out in my garage and did it. I'm pretty sure I have it completely put back together with the new motor in. It's pretty confusing at the end of the day because the intake manifolds and throttle bodys are dif from motor to motor. I'm trying to figure out where all of the VAC/fuel lines go and I'm pretty sure I don't have them all right on the b18B. Also, after I hooked everything back up I put the battery in backwards not paying attention and went to put the termanls on real quick. surprise, sparks, but only for a split second. I spun the battery around and checked fuses under the hood and none are blown. I hopped in the car and pushed the clutch in and tried to start the motor. Nothing. The injectors spray and so does the fuel pump. Lights/radio works so I know I'm getting power. But like i said, motor dosent attempt to start.
Here is a video of the code I am throwing.

any suggestions?

often the starter wont be able to crank over cus of lack of engine to body ground. Do you have it grounded? also check if your getting good spark from the plug, check if dizzy is good. are all sensors plugged in and swapped? are they both obd1?
you should of just used the same manifold.
and make sure the wire that goes from the harness to the starter is connected correctly.
and the one from the bat to the starter also

yeah i have the two wires connected to the starter. i dident use the old manifold becuase this one is way cleaner and i had idle problems with my old one from cleaning the throttlebody wrong

yes check all those grounds. positive to starter and battery to body ground. You should at least have 2 grounds going from the motor to somewhere on the body of the car..make sure you shave down some paint to get good enough ground. Ive known alot of people who's starter didnt wanna crank just cus they didnt have any engine ground. Is the starter cranking?
doesnt crank=starter issue. if it cranked and didnt start then the possibility for a million other things opens up. did you remember to put it in the starter/fusebox/battery harness?
