In response to b18b vs b18c
I unfortunately still fall into the category of "Guy who owns EG hatch but can't decide which motor he wants to buy/which motor he can afford."
I just recently decided that a JDM b16 was going to be the way that I went with my hatch as far as the motor goes. I can get one for a decent price ($1800 for motor/tranny/ecu) and it makes good enough power numbers for me.
Ok, but now I am re-considering the b18b for a FI application. A buddy of mine has the motor and is selling it for $500. That is motor only. I know that I can find a b-series transmission anywhere and the ECU shouldn't be too hard to find either. I've looked at Turbo-kits for the b18b and it looks like most of them are designed for OBDII Integras (the Greddy kits specifically).
What kind of preparation am I going to be looking at for a b18b if I want to run between 8-10psi daily. Keep in mind that I am a college student and I am going to pushing it to get a swap at all. Also, does anyone have a recommendation on a turbo for the b18b? I just want to do some research. Thanks

With fuel management you can probably safely boost at 8 psi..Also why not try and go with a homemade set up.. if you are on a budget that is.. try http://www.homemadeturbo.com

Don't get me wrong, I respect all opinions, but is there a particular reason to not get the Greddy kit?

Do you think I would run into a problem in GA with the DRAG kit? What kind of turbo does it use?

Check out ImportParts.com, they have decent deals on drag kits. You can also see what they include and what not
