Hi I will be checking out my possible new 97 hatch soon and want to know if I will be too tall for the car and need lower seat rails ahead of time. Im 6'4" and have never even sat inside an ek before. If it just so happens that I am to tall for the car, will I need to modify the stock rails or just buy lower ones?

I just dont want to decide not to buy the car over something as dumb as me being too tall for it when I could easily just swap in some new lower rails to make me fit. Help will be appreciated

 

idk if you need new seat rails but i have a 2000 ek sedan and im 6' 7". you can lower the seat height with the dial/**** on the side of the seat, i just fit in my car haha. hope that helps

 

There are different seat rails available, I just don't know the models or brands. I have 92-95 EX seats in my 97 Hatch and they sit lower than the regular EK seats.

 

by far, the easiest solution, and a good upgrade at the same time.....drop in a set of 94-01 Integra seats. Best mod for the money, and they sit 2" lower than the stock EK seats

 

s2k seats are also low but thats if you wanna go that way lol

 

ok thanks for the help guys. I ended up buying that ek hatch and am loving it. ill have pics up soon. and i might be able to get a hold of some cheap gsr seats too. i agree with it being a great solution to the height problem and also being a better seat for taking hard corners and comfort

Haha im 5'9" too and thats why i dont wanna get s2k seats. They sit too low. I hate sitting low lol. So i just kept my si seats and highered em

 

i love sitting low, i miss the f1 spec

im only 6'0 tho but my lil bro is 6'4 and he wanted integra seat in my car just so he could sit some what comfortably.
