H22A in '93 Civic CX wiring questions.
I'm stuck. Please help if you can.
First, the sensor/switch that is on the H22A head, to the right of the Coolant Temp Sensor, what is this? Is is some kind of an oil pressure switch? The '93 CX has this same type sensor/switch, do I just plug in the CX connector to this H22A sensor/switch?
Second, on the H22A manual tranny, there is a two-wire sensor: Green/Black and Yellow. What is this sensor for? And where would this go on the '93 CX harness?
Third, what's the sensor that is on the H22A thermostat housing? Is this some kind of ground switch? If so, which connector from the '93 CX harness goes here? I see a green/black connector that seems to be wired up like the H22A harness.
Well, that's it for now. Mitchell wiring diagrams are not the greatest. Thanks to those who can help.

I can't believe no one here knows. Well, I've figured out some of it.
The two-wire switch on the tranny is used for the REVERSE TAIL LIGHTS. It's a simple switch, which sends power (via the Yellow wire) to the back up lights (the Green/Black wire.) The H22A connector for the reverse light switch ends up with two "bullet" style plugs. The '93 CX one ends in a 2-pin rectangular connector. You just cut and solder the wires to the H22A connectors, or crimp on new bullet connectors.
For the sensor that is on the H22A thermostat housing, this is a 2nd coolant sensor. The H22A engine has 2 coolant sensors. The other one is on the cylinder head.
I believe the '93 CX only has only one coolant sensor, so you should be able to ignore the sensor on the thermostat housing and just use the sensor on the cylinder head. I could be wrong on this, but I'll have to double check.
Third, I still don't know what that single wire plug on the cylinder head is for. Does anyone know?
Thanks.

a pic would help and by right which direction are you facing the motor??
it sounds to me like you are talking about the vtec solenoid valve? It has a small lead off the assembly that goes to a plug I believe the color of the wire is green with a yellow stripe.

check the diagrams on my site maybe they can help. not really sure what you where talking about. like he said pics are always great.
This really sucks, I don't have a digi-cam, so I'll try to explain again.
It's the single "nipple" connection coming out of the cylinder head, underneath the distributor (but not part of the distributor.) The 'CX engine has this same type of plug, so I'm just going to take the CX connector and plug it into the Prelude one. Should be the same thing, I hope.
So far, the engine is in and I'm finishing up on the wiring. The HASport mount kit works great, but it takes some time getting all the bolt holes to line up. Relocating the fuel filter was pain in the a$$.
Just little things to go. Can't wait to get the beast up and running.

sorry i didn't see this post earlier. that sensor on the side of the head that you're talking about is the water temp sending unit. it's not a sensor, it just makes your water temp gauge work.
I was wondering where the instrument cluster got it's coolant temperature signal from, and I looked up the instrument cluster wiring diagram, and behold wire C4 (Yel/Grm) which led to the coolant temp sending unit.
It makes me curious now. I wonder what kind of signal an Autometer Water Temp Gauge needs? I wonder if I can tap into the same signal? Hmmm, time to buy an Autometer Water Temp gauge and find out.
But thanks anyways, I appreciate it.
Now, I need to drill some holes for the shift linkages.

I'm using a mitchell and working out just fine--sometimes the wire color that goes to sensor could be bridged to another wire that has a different color. There many junction block diagrams that shows you how wires intersect with each other and how one wire color could change to another in the end of the connector. Please be more specific on your question and tell me what pin outs you want. I might be able to help you out. I have trace every single wire in both wiring schematics. They are like highways and roads. Sometimes it could get hella confusing but patience is the key. I have spent over 10 hours on my wiring harness without even actually touching it. I have verified all colors cross overs from civic to prelude. I have a chart with the changeover wires. Well I might not be helpful at this time but give me shot at it.
