very weird problem i need help with
So earlier today, I did a quick pull in my car from 1st to 3d power shifting. The motor is a b16a2 with a fresh build and a s4c trans.
After i did the pull, I put the car into neutral and it wouldn't go back into gear and then it died. Now, here is where it gets weird, the car goes into gear perfect, when its on and off BUT when in neutral and the car is running, when you let the clutch out it dies. Now what could the problem be before I rip the trans apart. The car also has a new slave, master, throw out bearing, fresh fluid, exedy stage 1 and stainless line on it. So when the car runs, you must hold the clutch in. The car will also roll in neutral the way it should, you can push the car by hand. So what would cause the car to die when the clutch is released in neutral? Bad pressure plate, clutch or what?

There's a "nuetral safety switch" on the clutch pedal arm that prevents car from starting in gear. I think that switch might be bad. I think the switch is normally open so if you jumper together the two wires and see if that fixes the problem. Go to MajesticHonda website and enter the year, make & model. Then select Pedal under components your looking for. The switch Picture & location should be there along with part number and price.

That is strange. My first stab @ it would be the pressure plate. I'm assuming this under the notion that the input shaft is not being disengaged. The problem with this is that you would not be able to push the car in gear single handedly. Now my next thought is that you already inspected your shift linkage and there is nothing wrong with the gear selection shaft. If so, there is something internally wrong with your transmission that is not allowing it to go like the gear selection fork is stuck and not deselecting the gear. Final prognosis, check the gear selection fork and syncros.
Its weird because now it wont die in neutral anymore when the clutch is let out. The linkage is fine, or so it looks. Im gonna tear it apart today and try to figure it out. Hopefully i find something broken so I can know what to change and not have to start testing every single part.
