Is it possible to make the SportShift from a Prelude, or Acura, or any other form of Honda equipped with such a thing, fit into a '93 'Sol, and work correctly? It's a D16Z6 stock motor with stock transmission. My mom has Hyundai Santa Fe with SportShift, and I'd really love to have it in my Del Sol. Any comments or ideas are appreciated.

Well, after chatting with someone who swapped a B18 with a sportshift transmission in an 89 prelude, and some research, I have more questions on this. I really don't want to deal with the manual, mainly because it's a daily driver so I have no need for a manual. If I were building a track car, I'd be all for it but it's not. This guy seemed to think I'd have to do some modding on the block to make it all line up, but he also mentioned the computer. My question is, from what I understand, there's a specific processor for the SportShift transmission, but I'm not sure if it's in the actual engine computer or a separate unit inside the tranny. Also, is the five speed Sport-Shift auto in a RSX an option? I would imagine it's completely computer controlled and more of a pain than it's worth, but it's worth asking.
