INTEGRA BRAKE CONVERSION
ive been searching on how to swap integra brakes on my eg but all i find is how to do the rear but im trying to find out what i need to do the front since ive already done the rear
i would assume (dont quote me) that would just do the front knuckles, just dont get the itr ones because they have bigger axle openings in the hubs.? Also, a good proportioning valve might as well be added to get everything out of it.
you need to get the prop valve from a del sol, brake booster from a non-abs teggy and also the whole front knuckle. just did gsr all the way around on my eg hatch, brakes so much better. should be able to reuse the lines and all straight bolt up, gl.
It's simply remove the old knuckle and install the new one. Make sure you get a 15/16" master cylinder from a 94-95 Integra RS or 90-91 Civic EX. Bleed the brakes and go.

Correct. The only thing I would add is installing a 30/30 or 40/40 prop valve if you don't have one installed already.
At least look into the 11 inch conversion you can do to stock "DX" knuckles first. You can put ITR calipers and rotors on.
Also I think it was just the JDM Type Rs that had the larger axles, not the USDM cars.

oh okay cause i have the calipers and rotors i just need to find the knuckle now and i got a prop valve off a dc2 when i did the rear swap .... how much diff does it stop over the stock eg brakes is it much diff
I would change it, it's about a inch thicker than the original EG one, it helps.
as for your earlier question, yes it does.. just think of it as a semi big brake upgrade for the car, more braking surface, shorter stopping distance. If you've gone up to a b18 or higher engine swap, then yeah, it'll be nice.

The above responses have answered everything but here's a good write up someone else did. I haven't done my conversion yet but I have all the parts. Now I just need the time. Good luck with yours!
