Brake Conversion MC, Prop Valve Is it Necessary
Ok guys need help cant find it have looked, not a master of google.
I have an entirely stock 1995 Honda Civic CX, I am going to do a rear disc swap using gsr rear brakes.
Is it absolutely necessary to change the Master Cylinder and or Proportioning Valve for the system to work, or work properly?

MC shouldn't be changed at all unless you're upgrading the front brakes to Integra units or EX front brakes. Prop valve should be from a '92 - '93 Si hatch. However it wont make much of a difference over the one currently in there.

Hey guys, not to jack this thread but I am having issues with my braking now and was fine before. I was wondering the same thing. I am running Integra brake units all around. Should I upgrade to Integra MC and brake booster? If so does it matter which year Integra MC should I use? I have a 94' Civic Hatchback. I would greatly appreciate your inputs.

Hey guys did my rear disc conversion on my 1995 Honda Civic Cx and it seems I have a couple of problems.
Foreword: Bought GSR Rear Disc Conversion, Purchased Fully Loaded Rebuilt Calipers from Centric Brakes.
MC, Booster, and Prop Valve are Stock Honda Civic CX
1. The Right Rear Disk begins to lock just before the Left one Does.
2. This in turn seems to cause the parking brake cables to not simultaneously(at the same time and position) pull together at an even rate. Making it seem like the left rear ebrake cable is too long
Noticed though during the right side installation that the Caliper was out more so than its left counterpart.
Bleed all four brakes RR,LR,RF,LF. Using a pressure bleeder.
The Brakes feel ok but I wonder what the benefits of using a proper prop valve would be.
Also I would like to not rebend lines, so does the 98-01 Integra RS Prop Valve need lines rebent or is it PnP (Plug n' Play)?

It requires some pretty severe bending to fit and doesn't bolt up to the firewall. It looks exactly like a '96 - '00 Civic prop valve.

if you have no luck with finding a integra mc/booster you can always get a 91 civic lx(4door) mc which is 15/16.this also bolts direct with no mods to your stock civic hatch booster.you can get this at autozone pretty cheap.i know theres some thread or info floating around on this
