i just put a d16y8 in my EG and it will not rev pass 6500 rpm? I have changed ecu for a stock P28 and samething, i have P28 with chrome. i checked vtec is working at round 4800. car pulls strong till 6200-6500 and then it hits a limiter.
and i have NO CEL or codes if i jump it out

things i have tried already

new distirbutor
new cap and rotor
new spark plug wires
new plugs
checked ignition timing
checked wiring (what i can see)

no its 7200 but i found the problem i went to the dyno (THANKS HPC) and it was reving to 7200 but my factory tach is of by 500-700 rpm ,O'well

but i made 115 whp on a stock D16 with CAI, and exhaust and HPC DERF special tune
