Default s300 completely dead..

Hello it seems somehow my s300 and my ecu got damaged a component on q34 on a p72 ecu is fried. Also the s300 will not light up or anything when placed into a good working ecu I am posting the pictures in hope someone can shed some insight on how screwed I am or if the s300 can be repaired.

Physically it looks just fine, no burns anywhere on it but I just wanted to ask ive done electronics repair before but usually there are physical signs of damage. This time is nothing.

Anyways I added the pics showing the damage to the ecu and pictures of the s300, hopefully someone can chime in.

Thanks

Hondata will look at and possibly repair the S300 for a fee, I believe. If there's extensive damage I think you may need to purchase a new one. I'd give them a call to find out for sure.

Contact the dealer you purchased the system from for information on the Hondata warranty.

99% of the time that q34 is burnt it is because the customer has something improperly wired/hooked up on your engine harness which caused the failure.

Check your EGR/Intake air temperature wiring.
Also, check your intake air temperature sensor as it may also be damaged.

Yeah I saw a email on their site and I sent it their way to see how the process works, I found the component on the ecu on xenocrons site so I might be able to save the ecu if nothing else.

Thank you for the input I will look for a number on their site if they do not reply quickly via email.

Replacing the component probably won't fix the ecu/issues you are having....

Q34 blowing shouldn't have caused any damage to the S300. If you installed it into a known good ECU and it still doesn't work there is definitely a problem!

So replacing q34 wont do anything? Because I was able to find the part on Xenocron's site I am aware it wont magically fix the s300 but if I can get the ecu to work it will help make the situtation a little better.

Or is there another reason you think that it cannot be repaired? Not saying you are wrong just attempting to get some insight.

The only thing I can think is it either blew during driving, or it blew when I unplugged the ecu after I stopped to swap out the s300 out of my old ecu. I know the car was off but maybe the accessorys were on and thats what caused it to short everything out.

It was late last night so I tried it again this morning and there was no lights on the s300 but when I plugged it in the PC via usb the PC did detect it but saw it as a unknown device and could not configure it. =(

Shame on me for not realizing we were talking about the wrong component. Q31 is the one that the PCS uses, not Q34. Sorry!

But its q34 thats blown =p but anyways I guess I had the s300 installed by off a prong because I got it to work after I installed it again.

The burnt ecu works as well is not throwing any CELs or anything..I checked the IAT sensor and the wiring and everything is okay so I am not sure what happened..

Either way thanks for putting up with my stupidity haha
