J series in a bb4!!??
Just curious if anyone has seen a j in a lude . friend of mine just got done swapping one in a eg. and i was thnking the fitment might be pretty damn good. maybe the hood could close. lol
Even if it closed still gonna have to cut hole for fitment up top.
Buy a Type-S CL like Nir said.... less headaches (and to avoid a troubleshooting thread for this swap)

Well I have a prelude already,I'm putting the h22 in my ef so i figured I'd throw a j in there.looks like im gonna be the first with a j swap in a lude!
and to answer your question OP.
the reasons people dont/shouldnt do J swaps in preludes.
1.the j32a1 puts out (225hp) thats around 190 whp. and the j32a2(type S) puts out around (260hp) a few ponies over 200 whp.
its a lot of work to go up very little in horsepower. sure it would be faster, but worth the time, effort and money to do so? you could boost the h22 and be in better shape then a straight J swap.
2. the J motor has a very small aftermarket as far as bolt-ons go. parts either dont exist (you have to fab) or the available parts are extremely overpriced b/c the lack of options.
they work great in civics and integras b/c of the huge weight gap between CL/TL and civic/teg.
good luck finding one of those for a decent price or non-ragged out. they didnt make many to begin with

Yea and every civic has no hood or a big hole in their hood to where the J sticks out. But i think i saw one prelude j swap on this forum or youtube, dont have time to find it now...
