Why is tranny fluid leaking out of my differential
okay guys like the title says i have tanny fluid leakin out of my differential why would this be happening could it be because it is overfilled? could this be a sign of problems with my tranny? i could use any help thank you in advance
i have the same problem...if it's between the tranny and engine and it is tranny fluid, it is the output shaft seal i think it's called, inside the tranny. If it is motor oil between the tranny and engine it is crankshaft seal...hope i help
OP, you need to replace your axle seals. Thats will solve your leak.

Fluid leaking from seals can not and will not tell you the state of the trans internals. Are you experiencing trans related problems? Grinds, popouts, etc? If it's just fluid leaking, replace your seals and enjoy...
hmmmm, i thought they were called oil seals ..... 5 dollar part, but 45 dollar installlation tools.. (i know from experience)
28x41x7mm oil seal
35x56x8mm oil seal

Gotta start with the simple stuff. Axle seals, big axle nut socket or whatever fits, hammer, and a steady hand. Quit over-thinking the problem, it'll help you sleep at night.
