Help with partially stripped fuel line
While replacing my fuel filter in my 2000 civic ex, my friend was hasty on putting the new one on and partially stripped the lower bolt's threads that's on the fuel line and in the filter too. It's only about 2 lines deep into the thread.
Is there any way to repair the threads without getting a new filter and fuel line? I can't seem to find a 14mm hexagon die to run over the fuel line's threads. Can I try using the old oil filter to mold the threads on the fuel line?

I did the same thing on my 2000 EX. I had recently changed it and it was leaking at the lower fitting because of the washer gasket inside not being centered. I undid the bottom nut, removed the washer, and tried screwing it back together WITHOUT undoing the bracket that holds it to the firewall stripping it just like you did. I ended up using the other filter I had on hand for my 2000 Prelude SH (same part#) and installed it on the Civic.
