Default Hesitiation Issue!!

I recently installed blox type b's along with a pro-engr. intake mani and a port matched dh racing throttle body. I also got the car tuned but I now have an issue. When I am cruising at 3000 rpms to 2000 rpms the car feels like it is surging. I cleaned the IACV, Installed new cap/rotor, plug wires and plugs but still have the issue. I also have an irratic idle that jumps between 1000-1500 rpms at a stop.

Sounds like a vacuum leak. Check all vacuum lines and you can also spray brake cleaner around the lines, if the idle changes thats where your leak is.

Thank you for the input, but already checked for vacuum leaks and came across zero leaks.

Why not take it back to the tuner and ask him?

This sounds like something that the tune should have taken care of. Or was it only a full throttle tune, with no time spent on light load partial throttle conditions?

Full throttle tune. Should there have been light load tuning?

If you want the car to behave under those conditions, yes.

A drag car doesn't really make use of anything but idle and full throttle, so it pretty much only needs to be tuned correctly for those conditions.

A street car spends much more time under partial throttle conditions, where the full throttle tune doesn't provide help. You still want that full throttle tune to make certain the engine won't blow when you whomp on it, but that won't address the issues you've reported.

Might be helpful to ask this same question in a different forum
