Default ITR motor worked for two days then shut off

I just bought a complete 97 spec itr swap from a friend who should not have been doing the swap himself. It was his 1st swap ever and picked a difficult one ob2 itr into a obd0 crx with NO USE OF AN JUMPER FOR HIS DASH HARNESS. Did the wiring himself and looks like he failed.

He told me he had it in his crx for 2 days before it stopped working and thought he bent valves. I tore down the head and that was not the case. Dude doesnt know **** about obd conversions and admited that he screwed up his wiring. Upon further inspection i noticed that he was using the jdm style one wire vtec solenoid, looked to be original itr fuel injectors and original itr dizzy with use of a jumper. Im hoping thats what was wrong. The spark plugs were covered in black **** due to rich afr. (im guessing)

Im going to take some pics of the motor and maybe yall can help me ID any original ob2 stuff that doesnt belong.

This isn't the best place to ask about swap info. These guys are too busy rubbing their cars with diapers. I would probably try the EF/CRX forum. Guys over there will know exactly what you need...

Feh, screw that. I look at dead bugs on my front end like the drift retards look at bumper damage.
