Default eBay Header! The 02 Sensor now wont fit, have to relocate it! Help!

Hey guys, so I bought a $59 eBay header, and although the install was not easy, the header is very nice and certainly added a few extra horses. Anyway, the 02 sensor that was on the old manifold will not fit, there is a mount in the way, I believe an engine mount. So, here is what I need to do and did - I took the stock 02 sensor and cut and spliced the wires and tested it in the only other 02 sensor location that came on the header - right before the first cat... didn't work. So I'd like to just buy a new sensor and and some type of harness to extend it far enough to get right in front of the first cat, that being said, does anyone know where I can get a new 02 sensor + an extension for it? I looked on ebay and found this... but don't know if it is exact. Btw, the car is a 94 Accord LX.

If you already cut the wires, why can't you just extend them?

I did and it didn't work - and looking at the 02 sensor now, it looks like it could be replaced, so I would rather just get a new one then throw the old one back in.

It should work. Did you match the wires when you spliced them back together? There aren't any O2 extension harnesses that I know of, However I could be persuaded to make one for the right price...lol Usually extending the 4 wires is all that is required. If you are going to buy a new O2 sensor. You would be better off buying a universal fit Denso O2 sensor. It would be cheaper than buying one with the connector that you already have on your old sensor.

I know, you are right - it should work, but as of now I'd just feel more comfortable buying a new sensor and extender then half assing something! On a side note, I do love the header, I can hear the exhaust tone right before the first cat, it's awesome.

Anyway, I think I will go with what I showed in the original post, the 02 Sensor with that customer made extender, it looks like a perfect fit, and I should be able to do it for around $60 or so dollars; this way, I'll feel more comfortable knowing that there is a new sensor on there and not an old(er) one. I've been driving around with the CEL for about 2 weeks now, and honestly the car runs just fine and pulls relatively hard for a 4 cylinder 16 year old Accord. It may not be the Mustang GT I wanted, but I love this little 4-banger.
