Replacing main bearings, rod bearings, and piston rings?
Recently had my h22 start knocking then seize up on me.....Im almost sure its a main bearing and i was wondering when i replace main bearings, will i have to get my crank rebalanced or any major work like that done......Im asking this because i really dont feel like doing all the work then having something go wrong.....
So can i just pull the crank put all the new parts on then put it back together?
Any answers would be greatly appriciated, Thanks...

If it is in fact a main bearing issue, odds are you will have to have the block Line honed and maybe cut the crank if it is gouged to hell. Or get a dif crank. Most often it is a rod bearing though. Crank still might be effed. Let us know what you find.
If you've never done anything like this before, I'd suggest stripping your block bare except the crank, then running the bottom end down to a machine shop to have them change the bearings, polish the journals, grind if need be, line hone if need be, and balance the crankshaft. Sounds like a lot of work, but it's not too bad and the cost is relatively cheap as well. Places around me would charge something in the neighborhood of $200 for all the crankshaft work.
idk hopefully its something easy and not to expensive cause i got alot into this thing.....Ill let you guys know as soon as i figure out exactly what it is......Thanks for the replys.....
How do i know if i can trust a machine shop or not? i dont think that there is many around my area, would napa machine shop do a good job?
also should i have to supply all the parts or should they do it? i just wanna build this thing as cheap as possible but still have a good running reliable motor, (want it running factory, not looking for serious mods, i have a low budget)
