Default To those looking to install adjustable ball joints...

Here is my little quick review on SPC adjustable bjs. After having my alignment done I can definitely say on a flat road they feel very good and my car drives as it is supposed to. But add any bump into the equation they bang the shock tower with the quickness. I halfway expected this but I believed that since i'm only lowered on a set of neuspeed sport springs that I wouldn't have a problem as it is a mild drop. THAT IS NOT THE CASE. Seriously even the littlest bump jolts my car like I just jumped a curb. I'm definitely taking these off my car as soon as I can afford some Honda OEM uca's. I do not recommend these. I tried to save myself a few bucks instead of replacing the whole arm and now I am paying for it.

But the Honda uca's are not adjustable. what are you going to do about the camber?

I'm going to say screw the camber to go with something that I know will work.

I just went outside to jack my car up and after just one little drive I can see imprints of the lock nut on my shock tower.

A drop less then ~1.5in. WILL NOT wear tires from camber. The toe will still have to be adjusted though.

I needed a new drivers side ball joint and installed these to try and save a little money instead of buying 2 new control arm assemblies (I wanted to replace both sides at the same time). I just considered the camber adjustment an added bonus.

MOOG offers a +/-1 degree adjustable upper ball joint for the SH, but I do not know about base model.
Part# is K90490 available at Carquest for ~$80ea.

Partly because I thought it would alleviate the ball joint bolt hitting the shock tower problem. Secondly, because I wanted to help with weight transfer on the front during braking.

ARE there any consequences to adding more than one adjustable part to get the camber i need?

If those are like the set of moog adj. bjs I returned before I purchased my SPC's I wouldn't even bother. There are not any in between settings for camber. It only adds one degree or minus one degree of camber. Also, there is nothing to actually press into the arm. It just crimps on with the ball joint below the arm and the washer and lock nut on top of it.

There's some that exist. But find them very sketchy looking

The SPC units were meant for OEM ride height. They work very well on unmodified cars. I have installed quite a few to get camber back inspec for customers not looking to purchase control arms.

um mine is dropped 2.25 inches and the spcs are working great for me. I did have to cut the damn inner fender and shock tower but I really am not bothered by that on a 16 year old car.

+1 to that. I've had my car too long to hack the body just to make some ball joints fit.
My Honda control arms will be here in the next couple of days. Thank you Majestic Honda for saving me 100 bucks!
