dry times before recoating and prep questions
Im repainting my integra nd I have I chose to use single stage red paint same as old color since im a beginner and right now im doing the body work. and I just want to know what do I have to sand the whole car with to prep for paint. I hear its 600 but the auto body store told me to use a fine scuff pad. Is that ok? And also when I spray the first coat, how long do I wait for it to dry to spray the second coat?
The type r spoiler I painted with scuffing with the fine scuff pad, primer/sealer, fine scuff pad, and then paint and I waited like 10 mins in between coats. I just wanna know if im doing it right.

i use 320... Hand sand it, block it out, or use a non powered flat file. Dont use air tools or else youll see sanding scratches throught the primer and paint and cause more work for yourself.
I went to the auto body store and checked the spec sheet and it said sand the old paint with 400 or if youre prepping primered parts then use the 500 paper. And it was 5-10 mins b4 coat times.
Dry times depend on the brand. If you bought it from a paint store then they have mixing sheets for the paint/primer, tat sheet will tell you how long to wait between coats. Spray cans will also be labeled.
