Import Survival Series 1 2010 Review
Well new season and new decade here in the northeast. Alot of familiar faces along with cars with new setups came out today but not much was accomplished after a stent of rain. After today I know its ok to say alot of all motor rivalries are brewing as I can see this will be the year of 6-8 new all motor street cars that will be nearing the 10.50 mark. No grudge matches occurred due to a dispute over the pot between the two parties. Besides all that though it was a pleasure as usual to see all those who came out and I hope to see everyone come on out for honda day at Atco on the 18th.
I was very excited to make it to this race and to hit the track for the first time this year but it sucks that it had to rain. Car count was a little low but I know that will change later in the season
left after about 45 minutes of rain. was a shame too. some fast cars out. It's crazy the amount of honda's there though. not like the old import national days when there were hundreds of other types of imports as well. would have been nice. those days are long gone though.
I Heard the grudge match was set for $10k..
Then whenthe $10k was met. It was then stated by one side "$30k or no race" <~but thats what i heard. So maybe someone can clearify.
All and all, i think Rodger is right , looks like the 10.0 index will stray away a lot of the SFWD cars.

Car sounds wicked in the burnout box, I'm sure weather played a big part in the racer head count.

hoping the weather doesn't bite us in the *** again this year as it did last year. Overall i thought it was a decent turnout for this early event with the cold/shitty weather and all.
I was happy to see around 13-14 cars competing in the 11.50 index class... should be a competitive class to run this year, especially as soon as more learn about it and understand the concept behind index racing.

Few cars had issues today, us included but the air was great. Density Altitude of -1600 feet. To bad there was no sun and track was a little slick.
Maybe one day we will see a 10.50 index class....mmhmm!

No i dont mind at all. I went 10.73 @ 129. It was just a shakedown pass to make sure the car got down the track ok because it was the first pass this year with no testing. Baby shifted the gears just to get a clean run. Hopefully we will have some better times. But it was my personal best et/mph at that weight so that was good haha
