Which Gps Tracking would be best in NYC?
im thinking of buying one for my upcoming car im getting soon, but theres so many out there. and im not sure which would be best.. for the NYC area.. and any combinnations to add to secure my car. since im not going to be having a garage. so it will be parked either infront of my house or at the corner of the block.
I'm in the same boat as you still trying to find info on a good GPS tracker. I'm considering the Viper 210v or Clifford model but I can't get enough info from different sources on where to purchase, reliability, and how well the system works. I've also seen a product called the Entourage CIS. I've attached some info on it but it doesn't seem like 100% sure thing.

That blackline gps looks good on the video... and i heard lojack.. but i dont know and some guy in honda-tech provides clifford he says its good. u from nyc ?
ive heard lojack is **** coverage. My friend had it and said it did no good because none of the cops knew anything about it or something similar to that. This is in north carolina though so im not sure about other locations.
I'm in NYC so I know how it is out here with Honda theft being big problem. I made a thread about the Clifford 210c service and received a few reply's. I'd still like to know a little more about it like how good the coverage is from a few owners who track their vehicles with it. Also just info about it in general because DEI doesn't even promote it on their site.
im thinking about that blackline gps since it says if u have a iphone u can check the location directly to google earth appl. and they was going to have their own iphone appl as well. so thats a big + , since im not always near my comp. to check.

If you've read the Amazon review it said that even though it does work it has lost service from time to time. Also it looks like the location has been off by some feet. I would really like to hear from a few people with the Viper or Clifford trackers.

Buy that model on line and you will not have any support from dei unless it comes from a dealer. And to send it in you must have a copy of the invoice. Dei is finaly standing behind there dealers. Only model you can sell on line and it must meet map is the python version.
I didn't see any video in any of the stickies. Can you point me in the right direction?
Not trying to thread jack.
Does anyone knows of a real time gps vehicle tracking system for your car that doesn't require monthly payment? I found one with on demand tracking but its only made for obd 2 vehicle. I swapped out my obd2 ecu for obd1... so that system won't work for those with obd1 ecus
thanks in advance.

I'm in the same boat as well since my car got stolen once, and I want to invest in a GPS system. I was looking into the Viper/Clifford and I notice that there is a limit on data/alerts (about 100) for $100. Blackline seems like the best option with unlimited data/alerts but with a price tag of $179 per year service. If my insurance rate does down, pretty much it is paying for itself.
