Default Gas Pedal PRoblem

So i left my car at a shop to get painted and when i got it back they decided to help me out by troubleshooting some of my problems. So long story short they messed with the gas pedal and now when i press on the gas it returns all the way but barely and leaves the car throttling instead of returning to the normal idle. Would this be the throttle body or the throttle cable or the pedal assembly???

sounds like they adjusted the throttle cable, just back off the two 12mm nuts on the throttle cable at the bracket and back the throttle cable off.

Yep, sounds like they tightened it too much ^^^^. If not that then you probably just need to adjust the idle screw to lower the idle.

you let a bodyshop diag mechanical problems? well there's your first mistake. If you don't know what they've done to your car, and your not mechanically inclined, don't try to fix it yourself. You could make it worse or make it dangerous
and nobody wants to see another crashed ITR
take it to a known good shop
