Default 235/60/15 or 275/50/15 on boosted EF.

Yo everyone, I just picked up a 1990 hatch boosted from a homie.
right now its like 350whp and 300wtq on LS tranny.
it ran 11.7 on open diff.
its got 225/50/15 drag bfg's, there garbage.
its jacked up on drag pic coilovers.
should i run 235/60/15 MT ET street radial.
or a 275/50/15 MT et street radial.
this is for rippin up the street.
I got 24.5 slicks for track.
I also have a type r lsd, just havent installed it yet.
I dont know what to buy when i get back in the city.
if anyone can help me out, it would be greatly appreciated.

I was think on throwing some fender flares on, but I think its mad overkill for 275.
the bfgs are bald, so i was thinking on picking up a new set of rubber.
my buddy has a lsd for me, i just gotta pick it up.
it was in a ys1 case with type r gears i think.
he blew it, or it got locked in a gear. so he pulled out the lsd.

you are never going to get a 275 on there. you'd be lucky to get a 235 on there

MT et street radial 225/60/15 are on my crx tight fit. You will like them 275 no chance of fitting them.

235's should sit pretty flush, but might have to trim some of the bumper. its sitting pretty high thou right now, I think it will fit. i just want a bit more meat, once i put in the LSD it should help out lots thou.

235's are 26" tall so you'll have to ride with the front up pretty high, might need to trim the bumper a bit as well.

Did you buy Jeremy's car?

yea the 235's down at 18lbs on the street with an lsd will be a great combo! or you could take your fenders and front bumper off and find a way to fit those 275's haha

^ exactly any calculator or mfg website will tell you that its 26.1" tall, the 275 is actually the same height as the 235/50/15 just a couple inches wider.

225's are fine for your power level. Jim hucks ran 10's in a ef on 225's with a lot more power than your making. Work on the suspension and the driver before throwing some funny looking huge tires.

says me, cuz thats the tire we use on our eg for daily driving the MT et street 1's 235/60/15 is a 26 in tall tire. pretty good tire, but even with a welded diff and those tires they have their limit on the street at around 550hp for us depending on the surface. any more and they would spin more than pull. you can put more in it obviously at the track but get a light rim if you are going to be using them at the track though, its a heavy tire and coupled with a heavy wheel they like to break axles :/ M&H sells a good 235/60/15 and a 235/60/14 that are bias ply but we havnt tried them on anything more than 450ish hp car so i dont know if they hook better or worse than the MT's :/ but at 450 they do great. i know the MH bias ply ones fit on an EF cuz a friend of ours uses them on his EF.

For anyone who says a 275/50R15 will NOT fit, that is complete bullshit. It will fit just fine. Here are a few pics of my stock body EG hatch, with a 275/50R15 Goodyear Eagle Drag Radial on a 7 inch wide wheel (minimum requirement) that has a 40 offset. This is with absolutely NO SPACERS, it does not rub at all.

That's a cool story. He has a EF not a EG so your info has no bearing on his post.

25.4mm=1 inch.

235mm/25.4=9.25xx inches (tread width)
9.25inx.60(%)=5.55xx inches (sidewall)
5.55inx2+15= 26.10 inches overall diameter (2 sidewalls plus the rim height).

It certainly is, and you had a cool story as well. He is asking for information on 235's vs. 275's and you post information on 225's? Your post has about as much relevance as mine does. Now back to the topic at hand...

Yes because 225's have been proven on EF's. 275's don't even fit. Don't get testy because you can't read a thread before calling bullshit on a post then get called out on it.

Back to the subject at hand.. NOT posting a album of your EG

I'm not getting testy one bit. What I am having a hard time contemplating is why you must come at me the way you are..do you have something against me? I was posting to give some ideas, that's it. I'm sure the clearance between an EF and EG is not that much difference when it really comes down to it.
