Default OK don't laugh at me to much Reverse Indiglo gauges

I really dig the dash in my brothers VW golf. And the civic is getting old soooo.....

http://www.autodynamic.com/images/In...5EM_SF_REV.gif

I was thinking of getting this for my car. It would also look real good with my new Radio.

Hey sometimes you just want the car to look cool

So are these things total crap? I don't know anything about these. Will they break after a month or are they to bright.

I just don't want to put this thing in and have to take it out a month later.

Also can you change the color of the needles? I'd like to have white needles to match.

Any advice here? I don't want to screw up my car first and formost. So if there is anything funky about these I would love to know.

You will probably get tired of them after a while, but I you want them, just get them.

eh go for it, i got similar ones a while back, haven't got tired of them. i adjusted mine so their either on or off, so I could get rid of the stupid controls.
It may be considered rice but I prefer the blue over amber...

I've never seen these in a car before.

I have seen the bright green ones only. Pretty ugly IMO

But I was wondering if they are gonna look stock or like some tacky add on.

Is there another way to change the way your gauges look?

Nothing wrong with those at all. I like them. I could not find reverse indiglos in Kilometers so I settled for regular indiglos. I consider them a performance mod, because I could not see the stock gauges very well at night, and I did not want to miss my shift when I am reving to 9500. (Before you call me a ricer, check the link in my sgnature to see the rest of my car)

Here are my gauges on their brightest setting, I normally have them dimmed a lot more for driving

I did find revers indiglos in km/h. Made by Eurolite or Toucan. I really like them, exactly like the vw's.

I'll post some pics this week if I can.

I am really interested in seeing what they look like. I did not want the "ractive" or "Eurolite" emblem on the gauge, so that is why I did not go that route.

Ya I'll post some pics soon.

The Eurolite is just under the speedo, not big, still looks clean imo.

The indiglos are just regular white faced gauges in the day (excellent visibility). The gauges on the right and left are Autometer fuel pressure and EGT with red bulbs in them. They are the phantom series, so they are white with orange needles, and they match the indiglo gauges in the day.

Man that is dam bright!!!

I ordered some silver reverse gauges. I didn't pay much for them so if they look like *** I'll just throw them out.

Plus since there a solid silver they look pretty dam stock during the day. The indiglo ones look real funky during the day.

If they look good I'll change my boost and fuel meter gauge to match. Plus I found silver autometer guages that read in pounds and only go to 20psi. My greddy gauge goes to like 45psi. How worthless is that? Waste of a gauge really.

It will also match my new stereo nicely. Which happens to be silver with red and blue lights.

I can't figure out why some people on here consider these rice. I'm installing some on my civic Sun. cuz i want white faced gauges, and why not have them glow at night. The ones i have look exactly like stock except white. How are they a Ricer mod if they aren't making my car look faster? Is a custom stereo rice as well since its not a performance mod? somebody explain

because the glow is annoying and distracting not only to the driver and passenger, factory gauges operate properly and at a more than adequate level of visibility.

i think its funny when u see a car floating down the freeway / highway with the cabin all lit up indiglo green.
[/QUOTE]

yeah you could say the same thing about a system then... the stock is adequetly loud, but all that added bass is just annoying and will hurt your ears and the other peoples in the car.. but some people like it. To each is own. I personally like my cabin glowing inside but thats just me, i dont see why people would consider it rice

I just don't think any cosmetic modifications are "rice" if they arent there to make your car look faster.. like giant spoilers and fake emblems are rice IMO
peace

Alright I ordered them. I got them for $30 so if it's completely stupid I won't cry over it. I really just want to change the color but it seems the only way to do that is to get these things installed.

I'm assuming you can adjust the brightness cause I don't need a neon sign in my face.

Now the next question is.... Where can you get hype white bulbs for the rest of the dash? Does anyone make them to replace the bulbs behind the AC/heater?

I really hope I don't screw up my car. I'm really sceptical of this type of stuff.

I think that just about everyone trys all the ricey stuff first. Then they realize that it's all total crap. You just have to find out and try it all out yourself....GOOD LUCK

$30 bucks, where? I always see them for at least $70.
