AC HELP!
hey everyone,
okay well, i have a 93 civic and when i got it, it was missing the evaporator. also the rest of the AC (inside the engine bay) was after market, probably for the r12 to R134a conversion.
i got an evaporator from a 94 civic and i got some AC lines made that i was missing. when i turn the AC on though, the fan for the condenser and the compressor does not turn on. any ideas on this?
when i put the evaporator in i noticed that the plug on the evap is different than the plug i have in the harness.
(this is not my stuff, these are pics that i found on the interwebz)
here's what the plug on the evap looks like:

and here's what the plug on the harness looks like:
(the plug circled is what i have, the plug with the X is some other plug that that person had on his Canadian car.)

the questions i have are: what is this for? and, is there an adapter i can use? or, not the ideal way to do it, i know, but; how can i mickey mouse this to get this to work.
Thank you soooo much everyone!

okay i figured out that that is the thermostat. so i just jumped that together.
when i turn the ac on it still doesn't turn on though. but i found that the compressor and condenser fan work when i connect it directly to the battery. so i'm guessing that the relays that the compressor and the fan go into are bad.
any way i can test if the relay is bad? and what else can cause this to not work?
CB1F-M-12V-H15 is the relay. if anyone has any of these laying around, i would love to take if off your hands :-D

well, seems like it already IS mickey moused. the relays that were in the car were aftermarket WITH and extra pin, so i dont even know how that worked. so i guess for now imma jump it for now until i can afford the 44 dollar relays... both of them... or find some at the junk yard ORRRR if someone has them laying around... hint hint... haha
