I bought this muffler which I thought was an Es from a member on H-T...it arrived today and to my suprise it was a Flowtech, not an Es...so now I need to know if it will work with my D16A6 CRX...and what are the differences between this muffler and the Es one...I'm pissed...so help quick.

It looks like it will work. But that is alot of custom piping.

What is an ES?

 

Another brand of exhaust with the same look as the one posted above..

 

JDMhondaparts.com has it...it's more import oriented...a guy on here said that he had one on his car for a week and wanted something quieter...so he had it for sale...I wanted one...so I bought it...but the Es looks the same but I think it is baffled different.

 

Of course it will work with your car.. Its a muffler.

Its probably of very similar design to the Es muffler.. I don't know much about either, but they look the same.

I have a dynomax super turbo 2.5" muffler on my car and it looks really similar to that. Its nice and quiet..

 

BUT that SUCKS!

If he told you he had an ES but sent something different then you need to tell us who he is.

 

gsrhatch530 is the name...I don't want to get too mad yet...it may have been just an error and I'd like it resolved...I've contacted him with no reponse yet, and I've also contacted one of the moderators.

 

please I know someone has some more opinions on this muffler...if I have some confirmation it will perform comparably to the Es...I won't worry about it...but I need that info soon...

 

if its a flotech is should be pretty good
considering they're the one that makes airmass headers

 

cool...it's 2.5 inch...is that gonna be a problem? or should I just get a reducer?

 

if you dont like it i will sell you my flowmaster 60 series muffler.

 

2.5 inch is way to big
i suggest 2 or 2.25 is good enough

 

so I should just get a reducer at either end of the muffler?

 

Regardless, if you paid for an ES, you should get an ES. Send him an email and politely ask him to explain himself.

Apparently this was all a misunderstanding...the post he had it for sale in said the Es Oval "STYLE" muffler, apparently I was so giddy with joy I didn't notice...but regardless He gave me a good deal...so i'll work with what I have...and the reason it wasn't an Es is that the Es he wanted was on backorder at JDMHondaparts.com.
