Ok, so basically some kid had a zex dry kit for sale and just told me it was a wet but he lost one solenoid... is this at all possible?

Well considering a wet kit is both a nitrous solinoid and a fuel solinoid. so i would assume you could easily run just the "dry" portion of the kit just fine.

 

Yes it is, i did this to mine years ago and it worked fine. The two solenoids are mounted in the zex case side by side, if you cut the wires to one of the solenoids and remove it the control unit is not effected.
