Having problems lining up SPC adustable ball joint plate
When I go to line the plate up with the indicator mark on the control arm, the plate is not pointed what looks to be directly out towards the wheel when the arm is installed on the car. If I line it up to what I think looks straight out it is off quite a bit from the mark on the arm. Has anyone else run into this problem with these? I really don't want to go get an alignment to have them tell me I have to press them out again.
already been down this road -
okay, unless you are lowered 2'' or lower, your do not need the adujustable ball joints.
What you DO needs, is all new bushings in your suspension. I'd suggest a full Polyurethane kit. This is what finally fixed my Toe problem & Caster wear. Bushings.

Well I ended up just ignoring the tick marks and put the plate as straight on with the tire as I possibly could. I took it for a test drive and all felt GREAT (I did the ball joints and new uca bushings) but it will all be 100 percent once I get my alignment on monday.
All you need, is new upper control arms (bushings & balljoint) and for your alignment Front/ReaR.. the KEY is the Lower control arm bushings... need to be pressed In. I learned the hard way, over and over again.... It's bushings
I've tried SPC ball joints all around & off brand ebay camber kit all the way around. neither did anything besides offer more unnecessary adjustment.
