help with passing emissions
I have a 97 civic ex, It has a neptune rtp/p28 ecu and can't pass emissions W/it, So am I able to just put the stock ecu back in and be good to go? And my next issue is I also have the srs light on due to having a quick release hub/steering wheel, I have read You can use a resistor but how and what resistor is what I have not been able to find. If any one can help lmk, thanks!
Take the turbo off and put the stock ECU back in and you should go right through emitions. If you're still unsure of it, dump a bottle of rubbing alcohol in a tank of gas and that should bring your emitions down.
why exactly did you fail?
did they try an hook up a computer to ecu? or was it just the sniffer test you failed?
In delaware we only do the sniffer test ( thank goodness) and i failed the first time with my turbo setup. My tuner showed my a hose that was running to my intake manifold... i just pulled the hose and went through emissions and passed with flying colors. I have a b16a2, dont know if you can do the same thing i did but its worth looking into
