Default Best OEM Replacement shock: 96 Integra LS

I’m looking for OEM replacement shocks for my ‘96 Integra. I currently have KYB AGXs w/Pro Kit springs, but I’ve found them to be a bit rough now that I live in the city.

Currently looking at the following:
KYB GR2
Sachs
Bilstein

Any recommendations? I’m looking for stock or near stock ride quality. I will miss the drop, but I’m tired of dodging potholes and bumps.

I am still learning about all this stuff but I can offer you my experience. I ran KYB GR-2 dampers with H&R Sport springs for about a year on my DA. Gave me about a 1.5-1.8 inch drop all around. It felt good, very comfortable, not bouncy at all, and it took potholes and bumps with ease. From what I've gathered this setup was close to stock with a little bit higher spring rates (I believe 276 lb/in). Stock characteristics like understeer were maintained with this setup. You should be able to keep it dropped a little bit and have a comfy stock-like ride with the right setup. I am not necessarily recommending the GR-2's but I do believe they are a good replacement if you are aiming for ride quality similar to stock.

keep your shocks and raise the car. something like a tein h tech would be a good choice. you can dial back the shock dampening with the ****

Why not just get something cheap like Monroes if you just want OE replacement?

As for H&R Sports, I installed those along with Koni Sport shocks back in 2002, and they were total junk. They were too soft for the amount they dropped the car. I would never recommend them, especially with an OE-replacement shock

you guys did notice he already has agx's right? dialing those back to 1 basically creates an oem'ish shock. he just needs more ride height for the feeling that he's after. h&r oe sports, stock itr springs or h techs would fit the bill
