hey guys, yesterday when I tried to start my car it wouldnt start. It will crank but wont turn on. I got a new starter 2 months ago, timing belt and everything related to that was changed out less than 15k ago. Battery is about 1 year old. I dont know what it is. I need help! i tried searching but the search brings up random threads. thanks

have you checked to see if you have spark? could be your distributor going out but need more info any recent work done or changes made to the engine?

 

havent done anything but what was listed. i was thinking that its the distributor too. how do i check for a spark?

 

pull one of your spark plugs out, put it in your plug wire and hold it to a valve cover bolt while someone try's to start the car, if you see no or little spark then youll know

 

Could also be your ignition leads causing the problem. I recently had
starting issues and it turned out to be the leads.

 

Check the battery ground

Check Fuse #14

 

main relay prob went out

 

First, tell us which car you have.

Second, do any of your electronics work (headlights, stereo, interior lights, etc)?

Third, try to jump-start it. Post the results.

Fourth, try to push-start it. Post the results.

We can't just magically tell you what is wrong without some details.
