Default Got my tranny re-build kit!!


here is the kit i got from http://www.standardtransmission.com
it is for my 91 crx si tranny. now i just need to figure out what tools i will need to complete the job. has anyone re-built a L3 tranny and can give me some addvice?

How much was the rebuild kit? Where did ya get it from? I wish I could help ya but i know nothing about tranny's.

i didn't replace any syncros in my tranny, but if you look at the helms for a while and just pay attention as you're pulling the old synchros off, you'll see that it's really pretty simple.

when replacing the syncros, i would recommend taking each gear "set" off 1 by 1 and placing them down in order. then you replace the syncro the furthest down on the shaft and work your way up. this way you are not analyzing the helms manual for the right order as there are little rings and other things that need to go in a certain order...
