Default $1600 to spend in EM1!!!!!!

Ok so I got 1600 to spend in my stock em1. What shoud I do? No turbos. And I want reliability. I wasthinking h2b but I know that will add up to be way more. So I was thinking a gsr. I already got lsd. The thing is that I can't find a gsr. And I will also install everything myself. Give me some opinions guys!!! Thanks in advance.

A GSR shortblock, fresh ACL bearings, fresh rings, ARP rods bolts and head studs, ITR 2.5" collector manifold, ITR valvetrain, and tune. If you get good deals, get a good clutch while you're in there. The shortblock could be freshened up while you're still driving it, then pick a weekend when you're free to do the swap. That'd definitely be reliable if done right, and you could rev it a little higher and gain .2 liters

That's just me. Sure you could do some nice full coilovers and some rotas, but then you have a slammed mid-15 second car on knock-offs with camber issues... lol.

Then the question is, "Is it installed correctly?". If the siren is in plain view in the engine bay and brain, etc is under your steering column which is a generic install and you have no backup battery, then your alarm system is as good as "useless".

are you could spend it all on the single cam and build it for boost. plenty of people are making power off of single cams these days

seriously?? I believe it the car came stock with a Dual cam u should stick with a dual cam.. u def are going to spend more than 1800 on a new complete d16z6 longblock + tranny + mounts + ecu + axles + FULL turbo kit + internals + good tune..
plus i doubt u would get 1800 for a b16. at least in the northwest..

By pocket the rest, he means GSR shortblock because the B16 will never make good NA power. lol

I like the GSR idea. Suspension is also key, that's where all my money's going at the moment.
