I need suspension help badly
Hi everyone. This past Saturday i purchased a 2000 Honda civic coupe ex from a private owner with some mods. The car is lowered and looks sick;however, on my way driving the vehicle home i noticed that it tends to bounce when it hits bumps. I'm rolling on the highway doing 75 and hit a small dip and the car bounces around 3 times and also does it on city streets. The car looks awesome but this is a real pain. I understand you have to be careful driving a lowered car, but it doesn't suppose to bounce and feel unstable. I'm a real novice on suspension setups and need help on how to stop this bouncing, i'm not even sure what type of springs he put on this car. My ideal setup would be a great handling suspension, lowered, but for daily driving. Any suggestions on how to stop this bouncing or any spring and strut setup that is proven to not bounce and will be great for my use and staying with a good budget? Please, Please help me!

i am in a similar situation but i know what its lowerd on and whats wrong with it before i bought my car last week new what i needed when i test drove it. a new axle and front shocks on my 97 coupe. apperently its not very good to slam a car on stock shocks with lsd and a b16 swap
After doing some research on suspension kits I plan on buying Koni Str. T(orange shocks), but having a hard time deciding between the Eibach Pro-kit vs. H&R sports. Any suggestions?
just start from scratch... if you dont like the ride... get another one that you think is a good ride for you... no one else is driving it right now you are the one that needs to be pleased. Dont just take someones opinion because there are alot of people on this forum and eveyone has their favorite tastes. My suggestion is to start cheap you dont want to dig into some money pit with getting a suspension. here is what you do. Buy somthing affordable then swap the suspension. sell the stock or what ever you have. Take that money and save it for another upgrade if your not happy with the suspension experiment with other suspensions in the price range. If your still not satified then look to more expensive tastes.
IMO just have fun with it man do what you want to do that way you have no regrets.
GL with your car.

This past Saturday I've gotten my Koni orange and H&R Sport Springs installed on my civic. Wow, this car drives like a dream. The handling is stiff and sharp and very forgiving on the bumps, and potholes. I've read some good reviews on this strut and spring combination but did'nt expect it to be this good. All the bouncing around has been eliminated and I can drive the car faster with confidence. This is a huge improvement and recommend it to anyone who want to lower their vehicle moderately(about 1.7inch in front, and 1.5 in rear) while being forgiving over the bumps, yet being stiffer and sharper then OEM setup, of course. This setup has exceeded my expectation and have no regrets.

hope you have better luck with those H&R Sport springs. They were junk on my Integra with Koni Sport shocks. Way too soft for the amount they dropped my car.
When i first wrote this review, I explained how great the ride was. After alot of highway and city driving I can tell that the suspension has really settled. City driving has went from great, to just good. You still have to watch for potholes and other bumps like any suspension but when you hit them you do feel them, contrary to what i posted before, now that the car has settled. Dont get me wrong it's a great suspension setup, handling has been greatly improved and brake dive has been drastically reduced, body roll has been reduced but not as much as I thought, which is the reason im going to get some eibach sway bars. Overall it's a good ride.

why u buy it then.
