JDM is the new RICE!
I Love JDM inspired builds. There are a lot of them out there and they look sooooo Dope!!! But.... they are becoming tooo common for me.
So..... (i cant believe im goint to say this) Im gonna take a step back. And do a hard core RICE build!!!
The parts are cheap, looks ok IMO and it will most deffinatly stand out in the croud!. If others arnt into it, Sucks for them. But i want jaws (good or bad) to drop when i roll in.
This is what im thinking....

What do you think?
If they ever made an Si-R 4 door. This is what it would be

I disagree!
Most people don't even know what JDM is! Besides the literal words of Japan domestic market, they are high quality "OEM" factory parts. Aftermarkets parts from Apex-i, Greddy, RSR, ect......not not JDM.....they are only made in Japan
As far as style and how common car builds are, most people are choosing to go with a "clean" well thought out ride, usually with some go fast goodies
As far as "rice" goes...for the most part, it's CRAP!!!
Most body kits people have learned the hard way about how bad an investment they are. They never fit right and need modding to fit ($$), they damage super easy with cracking and chip so damn easy, it's not even funny. They usually get rid of factory sound deadening making ride quality louder and hearing rocks fly and so forth....i'll never do it again....poly lip kits only!!!
Rice parts also go out of style fast! I laugh at old builds still on the street. Yes, i look at them as they drive, but i ain't respect!

Agree x1000, hopefully people realise the difference. Can people also stop calling a civic with a d series an EF9?

U already said u don't care what we think but I'll sY it anyways. That is absolutely terrible looking. There is a big difference between being different and looking stupid. I encourage doing ones own thing, but people laugh at cars like that and give no respect at all. 8 year old think those style cars are cool, right before their friends start calling them a homo. JMHO
Hey theres nothing wrong with wanting to buck the JDM trend, its been going on for like 10 years now (i first noticed JDM stuff for sale back in like '99), but you don't have to be a ricer to do it, lol. There are plenty of non-JDM parts that can make a clean-*** ride without ricing it out
if its goin to be a 4 door i could care less... but if its a hatch i would hate it being riced out cuz to me its a classic in the honda world and its all bout restoration, keepin them clean and up to date with the time... and how long do you really think you will love your ricer car??..
Good way to get responses.
As far as the car goes???but it is your car and you should build it any way you want and disregard anyone who tries to dump on it.
I love hearing the way some people on here want to define JDM,where does it say anything about "OEM" in the phrase Japanese domestic market.
