Default honda wants 70$ for one bushing?!

I'm doing a drum to disc swap on my 92 cx hatch. I have the trailing arms from my old 95 LS. The bushings on the arms are pretty much shot tho. Today I went to the dealer to get a keyway for my crank and to see how much they were. After the guy telling me I can only by the arm as a whole I told him to punch in the number 52385-sr3-000. He comes back tells me 70$ per a side. That's just for the big bushing with the mounting pole that goes thru it. I also need the few other bushings that are on the arm too. I was reading that ES bushings aren't thay great tho. And that blox spherical ones are more for track use.

The car won't be driven in the snow/winter and rarely in the rain. So are the ES bushings fine for me?

Thanks in advance

You can't go wrong with OEM. Consider that you're even bothering to do the rear disc swap, you may as well spend a few extra bucks for OEM bushings that you know are reliable and work well. There's also plenty of information in this forum debunking the greatness of poly bushings (ES).

i have the ES rear TA bushings on my CRX. no issues at all. none of the uncertainty, unpredictability, or squirliness people always talk about, even on the track.

Well my father can get a 20% discount but that still isn't as cheap as the 42.50. Id order from majestic but I think their shipping is a bit rediculous. I ordered a shift **** once and they sent it in an over sized box. Made no sense to me. Ill check out hard race too

For the hardrace bushing kit that is like 250 do those include the smaller bushings on the trailing arm too.

I still don't see what all the fuss is about with poly. It works fine on my track car.

$90 can get you the pair of upgraded hard rubber bushings from SONEM/PIC if you don't want their entire kit at $225.

I just got off the phone with my dad and he said he can get all the bushings (four small ones and two large ones) for 150 with tax. He had to call 3 different dealers. The one told him the arm is all they sell as a whole. Thanks again guys.

I just wish Honda would sell all bushings separately especially the front LCA's for the 96-00 civics.

Good deal on the TA bushings man. I found a local shop here that gets Honda goodies for near the same price as Majestic, but I only drive a few miles to get them and save boatloads in shipping.

Check around town to see if there are such shops to hook you up too.

The prices sucks but this is the only one I have seen. And it's only for the Si.

Might as well just spend an extra 50 and get the complete HardRace kit, which includes ALL bushings from the front LCA's, rear LCA's, RTA bushings, compensator arm bushings, and I believe the front and rear upper arms.

Or order these RTA bushings from Majestic for $26.75 each - 52385-S21-003

Well I am replacing the front upper control arms and rear lca with skunk2 and blox so I wouldn't need new fushings for those. But thanks for the advice.

I have them on my gsr now and the bushings are fine. I daily it and have had the lcas in for almost a year now and no problems. One thing I think ppl do is tighten them all the way while the car is in the air then setting it on the ground. I just hand tightened them and then torqued them when the car was sitting on its tires.

And how, pray tell, did you get your hands up behind the tires to tighten the UCA bolts with the car on the ground?!?

I had cheap OE replacement UCA's off eBay for about a year before the bushings and ball joints both took a dump. Bought brand new OE Honda replacements and all is good now. When these bushings go then I'll install the ones from my HR set.

Easy. Take off the tire, jack up the corner until the car comes off the stand slightly, tighten all bolts, done

Seeing as it includes kings motor sports i'm sure the prices suck. Thanks for the link. Maybe a junk yard would be good, but I'd have to find an Si to match the front LCA's.

Yes that's what I do, also. However that doesn't get the hub to your actual ride height since you're pushing up farther in on the LCA than where the hub/wheel is attached. And also you're fighting the sway bar. So the suspension doesn't get loaded as much as when the car is on the ground when you just jack up one corner. But without a lift that the car drives up onto, there's really nothing else you can do.

I ordered mine from eBay user dohcgarage for $249.99. I think he's one of HR's main US distributors.
