Default Wheel offset question

Can wheels that are identical in every way except for a minor difference in offset be safely mixed (one offset on the front and another on the rear) on a track vehicle? I have two sets of RSZ-Rs; one set is +43 and the other is +45. I bent one of the +43s, so I'm thinking a pair of +43s in front and +45s in the rear. The car is an ITR, and the wheel size for both rim sets is 15x7. I know some racers in Japan mix offsets but I'm not doing this by choice; I just want to know if it's safe to do this. How will this effect handling?

i have done it. it does play with the set-up alittle but 43-45 you probably won't feel. i tried +38f, +40r and +43f, +40rear.

Absolutely. It would affect the overall track width of the front and rear, and ITR came with different widths from the factory anyway.

Excellent, at least there will be no significant repercussions from doing this.

2mm won't matter much. 10mm+ track stagger changes will start to change the under/oversteer character ie wider track to FWD will usually reduce understeer

it wont matter much and handling will still remain the same

if you fit + 45 offset on all fours you'll notice that the front tires are placed much wider than the rear tires.
