Default Need help finding a part

I was having surging idle trouble with my 99 civic dx hatch with auto trans as outlined here: https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-civic-del-sol-1992-2000-1/surging-idle-woes-2740815/

Fortunately, I have a buddy that has a spare motor identical to mine. He loaned me his throttle body complete with IACV and I was able to narrow my problem down to a faulty denso sensor/magnet/thingy. Here are some pics of it. It's the green thing at one end of the rotary style IACV.

I want to buy just this green denso unit. From the dealer, it only comes with the entire IACV which is over $200. If anyone has one for sale or knows where I can find one, I'd greatly appreciate if you could let me know.

Thanks!!!

well, i work at oreilly auto parts and unfortunately from my experience, these only come as a whole unit, and cost anywhere from 130 and up, atleast the one i sold for a d15b7 was 130, and i think the one i sold for an f22 was closer to 200. you might be able to find one in a salvage yard for pretty cheap. im pretty sure you can test these with a multimeter, maybe not, but if you can bring one to the yard with you and test some till you find a good one

well, you're right on the iacv cost lol

16022-P2E-A51 came up as $197.05 :O

1. drive to salvage yard
2. find 3 or 4 of them
3. stuff all but one in pockets
4. pay for remaining one
5. ??????
6. PROFIT!

I've recently pulled a Denso 54 from an automatic and a Denso 52 from a manual and both of them were seized with carbon buildup. Simply spraying cleaners in the air passage wasn't enough.

What I did was take the 2 screws off the aluminum side and pulled out the bi-metallic spring and green plastic stopper.

Once those were out, I could move the shutter to my heart's content with a small slot screwdriver. The carbon came off with some brake cleaner and a half dozen Q-tips.

Surging gone? YUP
